My First Boat Ride

Captain Keith took me for my first boat ride and he said it was OK not to wear my life jacket. We will save it for when I am a little bigger.

I even got to wear my favorite hunting hat to keep the sun from burning my face. I cant wait until I can go for a dip in the water to cool off.

We had to continue the tradition and take a picture with the flag.

On the way back from Lake Michigan I even got to drive the boat.

Ladybug Burley

We took Jacob for his first ride in the ladybug burley. We had a big night out with Brian an Kelly. We biked all the way to Captain Sundae in Zeeland for dinner. Hot Dogs and Ice Cream!! Yum!! Healthy too!! Jacob didn't seem to mind the ride and Jason said it wasn't to hard to pull the burley. Don't worry Mom Jacob made the trip with out any trouble.

FATHERS DAY

We had lunch with the Huyser Family and the celebrate Father's Day with Grandpa Keith before he left for Iowa Sunday night.

That evening we went to see Grandpa Joel. They didn't have electricity so it was really hot!! By the end of the night Jacob was wearing only a diaper.

When we got home for the night Jacob gave Jason his first Father's Day present. Jacob liked the ribbons more than Jason and somehow managed to get them all of the present in record time.

TIGERS

Grandpa & Grandpa DeWitt took Jacob to his first Tigers game on Thursday!!! It was 90 degrees and the Tigers lost but we still had a good time. Thanks Grandpa!!! Don't worry most of the time Jacob was up in the shade with Mom, Grandma DeWitt, and Great-Grandma Huyser.

Aunt Ashley and her friend were also at the game and managed to survive the extreme heat for the whole game.

Jacob even got a suvenior at the game, an infant tigers hat!! It's still a little big but to cute to pass up and he can wear it to Dad's softball games too.

Strawberry Jam

Last week Wednesday after Jacob's physical therapy appointment we went to Grandma Bouwens house to make Strawberry Jam. Great-Grandpa VanHeest was there too. We had a lot of fun and Jacob even got to sit in the Jam. Also on a happy note Jacob's torticollis is all cleared up and he no longer needs to go to physical therapy!!!!

Another trip to the ER

Jason had a small accident at the badminton tournament yesterday. While grilling during a rain delay in the tournament the guys were attempting to fix the Linn's side garage door when a broom fell on Jason's head splitting it open. Julie Linn (a nurse) quickly cleaned the wound and recommended that Jason go have an ER doctor take care of it. Brian kindly drove us to the ER and after an hour in the hospital Jason was released with 4 staples. Here are some pictures of the lovely injury.

Pictures of us actually playing badminton coming soon!

Reflux

The newest diagnosis for Jacob's frequent stomach trouble and vomiting is reflux. The doctor now thinks that the problem has been reflux since the beginning. The doctor wants Jacob to try cereal to keep the food down. Here are some pictures of him attempting to eat cereal. Let's just say he needed a bath afterwards and I don't think any of it ended up in his tummy.
In the beginning Jacob wasn't so sure what to think or do.
As we continued he thought it was fun to play with the cereal.
When we were finished he was a mess!!!!!
