Happy Half Birthday Jacob

In honor of Jacob's half birthday we had a little Elmo birthday celebration after dinner tonight. Jacob was thrilled with his Elmo cupcake, napkin and plate. I think he needed a chance to be the center of attention with Mommy and Daddy again.
Deacon is also doing well and is two weeks old today. I will post some new pictures of him soon he is growning so fast.

What a Handful

I have only got one thing to say, this looks like a handful.  Jacob is adjusting pretty good, he seems to like the baby but still likes to get his own attention.

Deacon J. DeWitt

Deacon was born Thursday, August 14 at 2:56 PM at Holland Hospital. Everything went really good and mom and baby are doing great. Deacon was a lot easier on mom than Jacob was, she has been up and around a lot already which was not the case with Jacob. Deacon was 19 inches long, 6 Lbs. 12 Ounces with a little bit of brown hair. Jacob came and saw him and didnt seem to notice him a whole lot, he was more interested in playing with everything in the room and pushing the "new baby" button in the hallway.

More Dunes

Here are a couple more clips of dune buggies jumping test hill, some morons playing in a little pond of water and some other hill climbing.  You can also check them out on YouTube by clicking the following link.  Jason's Videos

We watched these guys for a while, they were the same group that went up and down Test Hill probably 1,000 times in a row, probably as many times as they went through this puddle.

This was just a random hill that was probably steeper than test over on the north side of the dunes.

Finishing Touches

With all the work we have been doing on the new nursery I finally got Jason motivated to finish up Jacob's room as well. Jacob's name is now on the wall in addition to the drawing of him at tulip time and two plaques we have had since his baptism last April. I think it looks great and Jacob seemed to really enjoy us spending so much time in his room with him instead of in the new nursery.
We also bolted his book shelf to the wall to prevent injury as our little guy is becoming an adventurous climber.

I will post pictures of the babies room once the furniture is back from the re-finishers (Thursday) and we have the painting done (the 15Th).

The Dunes Again

This time we decided to take some video of us playing in the sand like a bunch of little kids.  It is late but I have a couple other funny clips to post tomorrow, so check back soon.
