Holidays

The Holidays were wonderful. The boys and I truly enjoyed having Daddy home the majority of the two weeks. We also enjoyed spending time with extended family and catching up with out of town visitors. Highlights of the Holidays included Jacob singing/doing the motions to "Away in a Manger" for most everyone we were with over the holidays, Deacon's first Christmas being relatively relaxing, and the blessing of being able to spend time with the ones we love. We also celebrated mom and dad bouwens 35 year wedding anniversary on the 28th
Jacob loved the bubble wrap almost as much as the presents.
When else in their lives will they all be able to share a chair.
Uncle Dan and Jayme modeling their new aprons. Definitely a labor of love went into those, I hope they don't fall apart.
Deacon modeling his hip new onsie that Aunt Jayme won for him.
NEW YEARS EVE

We enjoyed a kid friendly New Years Eve party at our house this year. Jacob was spoiled with an extra large ice cream sundae. The kids didn't cooperate for pictures and we didn't make it up till midnight. No complaints here. We enjoyed good company and got our sleep.

I bet Jake ate that whole bowl of ice cream! My apron is holding up just perfect :)
