11 days to go!

I've been a little lazy with my posts lately partially due to trouble with my internet connection. But things have been going pretty well while Jason is away. Jacob and I are staying very busy thanks to family and friends who have been hanging out with us. We are also off to Florida tomorrow morning for some fun in the sun with Jacob's grandma Mary.

Jacob Update:


Jacob was 6 months on August 28th and had his check up yesterday. The doctor said he was doing very well and that we just need to continue to work on the reflux, so we started a new medicine today. Hope it works so that he can put on a few pounds. Jacob is still just a little guy for his age. His weight was 14 lbs. 9 oz. and his length was 26 inches. Mary checked Jason's baby book and he was a pound heavier and an inch longer at this age. Jason was also about a pound heavier at birth so it looks like not only does Jacob look like his daddy but he's growing at about the same rate as his daddy did too.


Jacob is sitting up and playing with his toys as well as trying to learn to crawl. He has the idea of getting on his hands and knees with his tummy of the floor but coordinating the rest is still sometimes a challenge. The doctor also gave Jacob the go ahead on table foods but so far the texture isn't really his thing so we will work on it more when we get home from Florida.
